EU issues sanctions against four governors, four military men, a militaman and a businessman

On Friday 28 October the European Union officially added ten new people to the list of individuals sanctioned because of repression in Syria (see EUROPE 11656), namely four military men, four governors, a militiaman and a businessman known to be responsible for violent repression against civilians in Syria, taking advantage of the regime or providing it with support.

The military men include only one directly involved in the bombing of Aleppo, division general Adib Salameh, deputy director...
