The ministerial Council of the Energy Community (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Moldova, Serbia, Ukraine and the EU) gave the green light at its 14th meeting in Sarajevo on Friday 14 October to the accession of Georgia to the Energy Community Treaty. Membership will be effective following ratification of the protocol of accession by the Georgian parliament in the course of 2017.
