04/05/2016 (Agence Europe) -Charlemagne prizewinners announced. On Tuesday 3 May, the European Commission unveiled the three Charlemagne Youth Prize winnners. In first place, the Italian "InteGREAT" project that aims to help integrate refugees; the Searching for a Charlemagne project was devised by Greek students and the Young European Council project was organised by young people in the United Kingdom. These three projects will receive €5000, 3000 and 2000 respectively. The Charlemagne Youth Prize aims to develop a European consciousness among young people, as well as help increase their participation in the European integration project. It is awarded every year by the European Parliament and the International Charlemagne Prize Foundation in Aachen. (SPj)
