04/05/2016(Agence Europe) - Commission signs COSME programme with Ukraine. On Wednesday 4 May, the European Commission's Director General DG Internal Market and Industry (DG GROW), Mr Lowri Evans, signed an agreement with Ukraine as part of the COSME programme for facilitating SME financing access. Ukraine will therefore be able to take part in all the different areas of the programme, apart from the EU's financial instruments, on the same basis as other EU member states. Ukrainian businesses will therefore be able to take advantage of market access and support services for improving "business conditions". Ukraine therefore becomes the third country in the Eastern Partnership, following Moldova and Armenia, to take part in this programme. (PH)
