Luxembourg. Council of Ministers. Foreign Affairs. - Seeking a solution to migratory pressure; - EU strategy for Syria and Iraq and against IS; - action in the face of terrorism; - relations with partners in Eastern Europe (action to advance the Eastern Partnership).

Amsterdam (NL). Council of Ministers. Meeting of health ministers - Action to tackle resistance to anti-microbial treatments (multidisciplinary health action plan, research and development of new antibiotics and alternative solutions); - Action to be carried out to improve foodstuffs (fighting against saturated fat, other bad fats, salt and sugar). - Access to innovative medicines (authorisation, evaluation, prices and reimbursement)

Brussels. European Parliament. Committee work (until 21/04). - TAXE 2: meeting with national parliaments to review various fiscal transparency measures (BEPS, anti-tax avoidance legislation, Panama Papers, etc.). - EMPL/CULT: examining the new skills agenda with Commissioners Thyssen and Navracsics.

Tuesday 19 April

Luxembourg. Council of Ministers. Foreign Affairs (Defence). - Measures to counter hybrid threats and boost the resilience of the EU and its partners; - Strengthening security and development capabilities and CSDP.

Amsterdam (NL). Council of Ministers. Meeting of Employment and Social Affairs Ministers (also 20/04). - Professional mobility and seconded workers (decent work and right to fair pay).

Luxembourg. * European General Court: #Ruling: T-44/14 (Costantini/Commission - Commission's refusal to register a European Citizens' Initiative to ensure access to long-term high-quality healthcare.

Brussels. European Parliament. Committee work: - PETI: discussing petitions on transport conditions and cruelty to live animals; - hearing with Vice-president Timmermans on questions raised by MEPs on fundamental rights and implementing EU legislation. - EMIS: first public hearing of investigative committee on clean transport with the JCR and International Clean Transport Council. - REGI: debate on work and projects carried out by the EUROCITIES network.

Wednesday 20 April

Brussels. European Commission. Meeting of the College of Commissioners: - Policy debate on implementing the ecodesign guidance; - Communication: Agenda for European Security - progress one year on; - First report on progress in the EU-Turkey agreement.

Amsterdam (NL). Council of Ministers. Meeting of employment and social affairs ministers: - implementing the European social rights pillar (equal opportunities and access to the labour market, decent working conditions, sufficient and sustainable social protection); - tackling undeclared work.

Brussels. Council of Ministers. COREPER I and II.

Brussels. European Parliament. Committee work: - IMCO: heating on problems and opportunities relating to public procurement in the transatlantic partnership (TTIP); - amendments to the firearms directive. - LIBE: discussion about the Eurojust report on foreign combatants.

Thursday 21 April

Luxembourg. Council of Ministers. Justice and Home Affairs Council. - Security issues: use and interoperability of databases and the Commission's 'Smart Frontiers' proposals; - Action against terrorism and attacks; - implementation of European Summit's conclusions document on Turkey and the EU-Turkey declaration; - discussion about reform of the common European asylum regime; - progress in work on the proposal to set up European border guards.

Luxembourg. European Court of Justice. #Rulings: -C-200/13 P (Council/Bank Saderat Iran and Commission - Annulment of freezing of assets of Bank Saderat); - C-558/14 (Khachab - Rejection of family regrouping based on an assessment of regrouping resources the year after the request was made); - C-377/14 - Radlinger - Obligation for a judge in a member state to verify whether information to be listed in a consumer credit contract have been written in clear and concise language in the contract). Committee work: - LIBE: discussion of Commission's report on visa liberalisation with Turkey; - discussion with Eurojust, the Fundamental Rights Agency and NGO Missing Children Europe about the disappearance of unaccompanied child refugees. - IMCO: hearing on directives on defence-related purchases and sales; - revision of EU clean transport rules. - ITRE: hearing with Commissioner Oettinger ; - vote on report on a new situation for energy consumers; - public hearing on the role of energy storage in the EU's future energy system. - AGRI: vote on informal agreement with the Council on reducing the introduction of plant parasites into the EU.
