08/04/2016 (Agence Europe) - Technical measures, first Council debate on the proposal. On Monday 11 April, European fisheries ministers will hold their first debate about the recent technical fisheries measures (see EUROPE 11516). They will discuss progress in talks on data collection in the fisheries sector. A compromise text was presented to Coreper on 23 March and the EP's fisheries committee is expected to adopt a negotiating mandate on 19 April. (LC)
