Brussels, 19/10/2015 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 15 October, the European Parliament launched the new Charlemagne Prize for Youth. Young people aged between 16 and 30 and responsible for running projects with the European dimension, are asked to send in their applications to take part in the prize competition. As well as benefiting from media coverage, prize-winning projects should also provide models for young people living in Europe and offer practical examples of Europeans living together as one community. The three winning projects will be chosen from the 28 projects nominated by national juries in the individual EU member states and are awarded either €5,000, €3,000 or €2,000. Their representatives will be invited to visit the European Parliament in Brussels or Strasbourg. (Original version in French by Isabelle Lamberty)
