24/09/2015 (Agence Europe) - Sefcovic wants deal in gas talks on 25 September. After “intensive negotiations over the last days”, European Commission Vice-President for Energy Union Maros Sefcovic has invited Ukraine's Energy Minister Vladimir Demschyshyn and his Russian counterpart, Alexander Novak, for a trilateral meeting in Brussels on Friday 25 September, with the “firm objective” of finalising an agreement on the supply of Russian gas to Ukraine for winter 2015-16, the Commission announced on Thursday 24 September. The Russian and Ukrainian gas companies - Gazprom and Naftogaz - will also be represented, the Commission states. (EH)
