24/09/2015 (Agence Europe) - €100 million for southern Baltic region. On Thursday 24 September, the European Commission adopted the new Interreg programme for the southern Baltic, bringing together Germany, Denmark, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden. With a budget of €102 million, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for up to €83 million, the programme will support, firstly, the protection and appreciation of the environment (especially by reducing waste in the Baltic Sea and by promoting sustainable tourism), and secondly, strengthening the competitiveness of SMEs and cross-border mobility.
