24/06/2015 (Agence Europe) - Sefcovic visits Germany with Energy Union tour. European Commission Vice-President Maros Sefcovic was continuing his tour - to discuss the Energy Union project with the member states - to Germany on Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 June. He was due to meet Germany's Secretary of State for the Environment Jochen Flasbarth in Berlin on Wednesday, as well as Germany's Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Sigmar Gabriel and Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs Frank-Walter Steinmeier. In addition, Sefcovic was scheduled to meet Chairman of the Committee for the Economy and Energy at the German Bundestag, Peter Rasmauer, and other parliamentarians, as well as to visit the Technical University in Berlin and make a speech on the Energy Union to the BDEW congress (the German association of energy and water resources). Visits to the BMW plant and the European Energy Exchange (EEX) were also planned for his visit to Leipzig on 25 June. (EH)
