24/03/2015 (Agence Europe) - Budget 2013 - Commission granted discharge. On Tuesday 24 March, the budgetary control committee of the European Parliament recommended to the plenary (end of April) that the European Commission be granted discharge on the execution of the general budget of the Union in 2013. In their adoption of the report by Ingeborg Gräßle (EPP, Germany), however, the MEPs criticise the error rates in the agricultural credits (7.4% for market measures, for example), in the field of regional policy and employment and social affairs. Additionally, the budgetary control committee recommended that discharge be granted on the execution of the 2013 budget of the European Parliament (EUROPE will return to this). (LC)
