Brussels, 24/03/2015 (Agence Europe) -An Airbus 320 owned by the German Germanwings company crashed in the French Alps on Tuesday 24 March, killing 144 passengers and 6 crew members. Donald Tusk, the president of the European Council, has sent his “deepest condolences to the families of the victims” and expressed his solidarity with the governments of all the nations affected. The European Commissioner for Transport, Violeta Bulc, said, “Our thoughts are with families of passengers. EU services will assist in investigation”. The president of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz, also announced that all his thoughts were with “the families of the passengers and crew members at this difficult time”. (Jean Comte)
