Brussels, 20/01/2015 (Agence Europe) - The NGO, Amnesty International, has called on member states to reveal all the information they have on their cooperation with the CIA during the war against Al Qaeda, following the attacks of 11 September 2001 and the secret flights in Europe.
In a press release published on Tuesday 20 January, Amnesty said that it expected these countries to bring those responsible to justice. The NGO's statement is based on facts released in the recent report by the US Senate on the extraordinary rendition programme. Poland, Lithuania, Romania, United Kingdom, Germany and FYROM are the countries being questioned about the role they played in helping the US in the secret detention of suspects and use of torture.
