Brussels, 20/01/2015 (Agence Europe) - In the third quarter of 2014, the seasonally adjusted general government deficit stood at 2.3% of GDP in the euro area, down from the second quarter of 2014 (2.5%), according to data published by the statistical office of the EU (Eurostat) on Tuesday 20 January.
The public deficit to GDP ratio was down slightly in the EU28, to 2.9% of GDP in the third quarter of 2014, compared to 3.0% in the previous quarter.
