Brussels, 28/08/2014 (Agence Europe) - The crash of flight MH17 of Malaysia Airlines in Ukraine will be the first hot topic to be debated by the members of the transport committee (TRAN) of the European Parliament. The question of how and why a flight over the conflict zone remained authorised will be central to an exchange of opinions at the first meeting, on the morning of Wednesday 3 September. In a session of no less than three hours, the MEPs will be able to put questions to senior representatives of EUROCONTROL, the European Aviation Safety Agency, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the European Civil Aviation Conference. In the afternoon, the Italian minister for tourism, Dario Franceschini, will present the priorities of the Italian Presidency. (MD)
