US still dominating global market in 2014. The annual “Brand Finance Telecoms” report evaluates the market strength of the major telecoms and infrastructure providers and the highest performing companies in 2014 are - Operators: With an estimated market value of $53.47 billion, the US Verizon group is at the top of the league of operators as it was last year. It is followed by another US group, AT&T ($45.41 billion), which was also in second place last year. China Mobile ($31.85 billion) has moved up one place compared to last year and is now following behind the two leaders. Two European groups make up the “Top 5”: the German company T is in fourth place with a market value worth $30.61 billion and has also climbed up one place in the table, followed by the British company, Vodafone, which is in fifth place with a market value worth $29.61 billion but which has fallen two places over the past year. - Infrastructure providers: the “Top 5” infrastructure providers are the same as last year. The US Cisco group is in first place, with estimated market value of $20.78 billion, followed by Swedish company, Ericsson ($7.41 billion) and another US group, Qualcomm ($4.34 billion). The French company Alcatel-Lucent is in fourth place, neck and neck with Qualcomm, with a market value close to $4.33 billion, followed by the US Motorola Solutions company in fifth place ($2.54 billion).
