09/05/2014 (Agence Europe) - Council gives final green light to creation of PES network. On Wednesday 7 May, the Council of the EU approved without debate the creation of a formal network of public employment services (PES). All member states will take part. However, as to whether this participation will be obligatory, the European Parliament, the European Commission and the Council still fail to agree (see EUROPE 11063). (JK)
