Brussels, 27/03/2014 (Agence Europe) - On 27 March, the European Commission announced the launch of a network of providers of online university courses (MOOC - Massive Open Online Courses) aiming to provide people with web and applications (“apps”) skills. The new network will help to cover demand for Web-related skills across Europe and to promote the use of online courses. Web-related industry is generating more economic growth than any other part of the European economy, but hundreds of thousands of jobs remain unfilled due to the lack of qualified staff, the Commission points out.
