On Monday, 24 March, the Council adopted the new rules on periodic technical examination of road vehicles (Point A at the Agriculture Council). The package of three European directives provides for powerful motor cycles having compulsorily to undergo inspections from 2022, a 5% quota of light utility vehicles will be checked in the EU on the basis of a risk profile and mutual recognition of registration documents. The new rules will enter into force 20 days after their publication in the EU Official Journal. (MD)
