Brussels, 12/03/2014 (Agence Europe) - A raft of delegated acts in the wake of the reform of the cohesion policy are currently being examined by the Council and are expected to be the subject of a debate in the parliamentary committee on regional development, on 19 March.
Nearly 20 delegated acts come in the framework of common provisions for the regulations on the structural and investment funds (ERDF, ESF, Cohesion Fund, EAFRD, EMFF). A series of others concern the rules on eligibility for expenditure for the cooperation programmes; another series concerns the principles on the management of sustainable urban development projects funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The ministerial delegations and the MEPs alike are expected to favour a rapid adoption procedure by means of non-objection, so that the delegated acts can enter into force by May. (MD)
