Scrapie - Court finds France guilty of breach

Brussels, 18/07/2013 (Agence Europe) - The Court of Justice of the EU, to which the matter was brought by the European Commission on 11 October 2011, ruled on Thursday 18 July (case C-520/11) that France was guilty of a breach regarding the measures to combat scrapie.

France was accused of failing to execute Commission decision 2009/726/EC, which ordered the country to suspend the ban, in place since 25 February 2009, of imports to the French territory of milk, dairy products and products...
