Brussels, 18/07/2013 (Agence Europe) - EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton voiced her concern about the guilty verdict and the prison terms handed down by the Kirov Court in Russia against Alexey Navalny, a member of the Russian opposition coordination council and anti-corruption campaigner, and his co-defendant, Pyotr Ofitserov. She said the verdict raises questions as to the state of the rule of law in Russia.
