Brussels, 18/07/2013 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 18 July, the European Court of Justice dismissed the appeal brought by FIFA and UEFA against the judgments of the General Court on television broadcasts of the World Cup and the EURO, saying that countries are entitled to ban the broadcasting of matches exclusively on pay-TV, demanding instead free access to sports broadcasts of major importance, like the World Cup and European football championships (EURO) (case C-201-204-205/11 P).
