Annual inflation in the eurozone stood at 1.4% in May, compared with 1.2% in April, according to figures released on Friday 31 May by the EU's statistical office, Eurostat. The highest annual inflation rate in May was for food, alcohol and tobacco, followed by services, non-energy industrial goods and energy. (MB/transl.fl)
