First part of “Startup Europe” kicks off

Brussels, 26/03/2013 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has implemented the first phase of “Startup Europe”, a six-part plan intended to encourage young Europeans wishing to put their innovative ideas into practice and to found a start-up. Taken collectively, start-ups generate three million jobs each year in the United States during their first year of activity. The Commission seeks to create an equivalent drive in Europe. With the help of several brilliant business leaders (notably the creators of Angry Birds, Spotify and Skype), it has created the “Leaders Club”, which is a platform for star entrepreneurs to tell their stories of inspiration and frustration, to wake up young Europeans and leaders to the potential of entrepreneurial careers.
