Brussels, 18/03/2013 (Agence Europe) - On 11 March, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and Deutsche Leasing AG signed a loan for €100 million to finance Deutsche Leasing AG's activity in Europe over the next five years. The money will be lent on to small and medium-sized companies and mid-caps and companies employing up to 3,000 people for long-term investment projects.
As the EU's investment bank, the EIB sees the funding of small business as particularly important because they create more than 80% of new jobs. Given the large number of small companies in Europe, the EIB works with intermediaries and this is the first time that Deutsche Leasing AG has become an EIB financial partner. Deutsch Leasing is part of Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe and works with small companies and mid-caps in 19 countries in Europe. It is the fifth largest leasing finance company in the EU with a firm base in Germany and the wider Europe. (OL/transl.fl)
