Brussels, 18/03/2013 (Agence Europe) - High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton seems optimistic about the possibility of an agreement between Belgrade and Pristina. “I think it's possible for them (the prime ministers of Serbia and Kosovo) to reach an agreement”, Ashton said during a discussion on 16 March. Whether they reach an agreement or not will depend on the possibility of our finding a solution to certain difficulties that they have, she added. She said that she thinks “there is a general willingness to achieve this objective”.
The Serbian and Kosovan prime ministers, Ivica Dacic and Hashim Thaçi, are meeting in Brussels on 20 March for a seventh meeting on the normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Pristina. They will try to find an agreement on the parallel structures in the north of Kosovo. (CG/transl.fl)
