27/11/2012 (Agence Europe) - French humanitarian aid to the national coalition. On Monday 26 November, French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius announced an allocation of €1.2 million in emergency humanitarian aid to the Syrian National Coalition. “The Syrian National Coalition is organising (on Monday and Tuesday) a meeting in Cairo with the international community on aid to the Syrian people, and France has decided to release emergency humanitarian aid of €1.2 million”, Fabius said in a statement. “The humanitarian situation in Syria is becoming worse. It is imperative that the international community act”, he said (our translation). This sum will be added to the aid of €1.2 million already granted to the civil revolutionary councils in the zones that are free from regime troops, and to the aid of €300,000 to refugees in Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon.
