Brussels, 15/10/2012 (Agence Europe) - According to AFP, France has opened up another segment of its labour market to Bulgarian and Romanian nationals through its decision published on Sunday 14 October. These nationals will now have access to 291 different jobs instead of 150, including professions such as speech therapist, secondary school teachers and air traffic controllers. This opening up of the job market to Bulgarians and Romanians, particularly Roma citizens from these two countries, was announced by the French government following another spat with the European Commission. Several member states are still applying transition provisions for nationals from these countries, which restrict access to their labour markets. These countries include Germany, Austria, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. SP/trans.fl)
