21/06/2012 (Agence Europe) - Internal market: Ireland, Slovenia and Poland shortcomings. On 21 June, the European Commission sent three member states reasoned opinions for their failure to provide notification of all the measures needed for complete transposition of the third internal market energy package: Ireland and Slovenia for Directive 2009/73/EC on common rules for gas; Poland for Directive 2009/72/EC for common rules for the electricity sector. Member states had until 3 March 2011 to transpose these two texts into national law. Dublin, Ljubljana and Warsaw have two months to respond and avoid referral to the European Court of Justice.
