12/07/2011 (Agence Europe) - Bank and Luxembourg cooperate to tackle poverty in ACP countries. The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the European Investment Bank (EIB) are joining forces in a third joint operation providing technical assistance to microfinance. Luxembourg Finance Minister Luc Frieden and EIB President Philippe Maystadt signed a new cooperation agreement on 5 July that will bring together the expertise, networks and resources of the EIB and the Finance Ministry in order to develop microfinance and the private sector in the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries.
