Brussels, 28/03/2011 (Agence Europe) - Verified emissions for 2010 from the industrial installations taking part in the Community emissions trading scheme (ETS) and compliance of these emissions with targets set through national emissions ceilings will be published at midday (Central European Summer Time, CEST) on 1 April 2011, the Commission announced on Friday evening 25 March.
In line with the procedure which applies (under Commission Regulation 2213/2003 amended by Regulation 920/2010), these data will be available on the Community Independent Transaction Log (CITL), the online registry which monitors companies' carbon credits on the European carbon market. As in previous years, no aggregate data or interpretation will be made available. At midday (CEST) on 2 May, the Commission will grant unlimited access to the quantity of units surrendered for 2010 per unit type - allowances, Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) and Emission Reduction Units - obtained in return for clean investment in non-EU countries.
At midday (CEST) on 16 May, on the CITL website, the Commission will grant unlimited access to the installation-level compliance status figure indicating whether an installation surrendered the required amount of allowances and/or credits. (A.N./transl.rt)
