Brussels, 24/03/2011 (Agence Europe) - The Hungarian Presidency of the EU Council is organising an informal meeting of education and culture ministers to be held on 27 to 29 March, in Gödöllõ (Hungary). Debates on the culture aspect will be geared to the role of culture in the EUROPE 2020 strategy and the role of cultural diversity in this process. Education ministers will, for their part, look at measures that member states must implement in order to promote active citizenship among young people, in order to give them the necessary assets for becoming European citizens that uphold democratic values, and that are socially responsible and armed with the necessary skills to ensure they are employable in the future.
