22/03/2011 (Agence Europe) - Study on maritime cooperation in the Mediterranean. On Tuesday 22 March, under the auspices of the Facility for Euro-Mediterranean Investment and Partnership (FEMIP), the European Commission, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) launched a study on maritime cooperation in the Mediterranean. The study will look at the key problems facing promotion of the maritime sector in the Mediterranean by identifying best practice in three key areas: - social aspects, maritime surveillance and security, and investment in port infrastructure.
