On Tuesday 22 March, the European Commission gave its approval to the proposed concentration whereby the undertakings Banque Privée 1818 (controlled by the BPCE Group, France), Messine Participations, Rothschild Assurance et Courtage and Rothschild & Cie Gestion (controlled by Paris Orléans SA, France) plan to acquire, by way of purchase and contribution of shares, joint control of the undertaking Sélection R (France), to which the undertaking 1818 Partenaire will have previously been contributed by Banque Privée 1818. The undertakings concerned by this transaction are active in the financial services and insurance sector. The case was examined under simplified merger review procedure. (O.L./transl.jl)
