31/01/2011 (Agence Europe) - Budapest replies to Brussels. The European Commission confirmed on Monday that it had received Hungary's response to the letter sent to the government by Commission Vice-President Neelie Kroes on the media law that was passed before Christmas, but which has been heavily criticised by the opposition. Hungarian European Affairs Minister Janos Martonyi said: “The necessary adjustments will be made. I am convinced that a solution acceptable to everyone can be found”. In a press release issued last week, the leader of the S&D Group in the European Parliament Martin Schulz said: “When you can't fix it, you'd better change it”. (Gp/transl.rt)
