Commission refers complaint against Italy to Court for failure to comply with obligations

Brussels, 25/06/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 25 June, the European Commission decided to refer a complaint against Italy to the EU Court of Justice regarding Italy's failure to comply with EU law. The Commission considers it is up to Italy, according to Court of Justice case law, to shoulder responsibility for damages caused by its jurisdictions enacting in last instance in the application of Community law.
