Aid for ridding Mediterranean of pollution

Brussels, 23/02/2010 (Agence Europe) - The Commission states it has given its go-ahead to starting up the second phase of the Mediterranean Hot-Spot Investment Programme (MeHSIP-PPIF), an investment programme for funding projects relating to reducing pollution in the Mediterranean.

The aim of the programme is to help the countries of the region meet the norms required within the framework of international financial intervention. The aid ceiling for funding assistance may be around €6.2...
