Seizure of counterfeit €1.2 million in Colombia

Brussels, 02/02/2010 (Agence Europe) - An illegal print shop producing false euro banknotes has been uncovered in Bogota, the capital of Colombia, Europol announced on Monday 1 February. In a joint Colombian and Europol investigation, police officers seized counterfeit €50 notes worth more than €1.2 million, and 312 million Colombian pesos (€112,000).
