Brussels, 18/11/2009 (Agence Europe) - In a decision made on Tuesday 17 November (C - 169/08), the European Court of Justice ruled that the Sardinian regional tax on tourist stopovers in planes and boats and imposed on people who are not financially residing in this region, infringed Community law. The ECJ considers that this tax not only infringes the principle of free provision of services but also constitutes state aid.
