09/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - At the initiative of the European Youth Forum and the Austrian National youth Council, representatives of the European Commission and national ministers for youth policy discussed the implementation of the European Youth Pact last weekend in Vienna with more than 30 representatives of youth organisations, highlighting youth employment and social inclusion of young people. The discussions culminated in recommendations on: - involvement of youth organisations; - combating multi-discrimination, which should be clearly enshrined in legislation; - decent jobs; - skills acquired by young people through non-formal learning, which should be recognised on the labour market.
