Commission continues legal proceedings against three Member States for continued INFRINGEMENT of consumer legislation

Brussels, 13/10/2009 (Agence Europe) - On 8 October the European Commission decided to enter the next stage of infringement proceedings against three member states for persistently failing to comply with EU consumer legislation.

A warning letter has been sent to Spain under Article 228 of the EU Treaty due to the country's failure to meet its duty to implement a 2009 ruling from the European Court of Justice (Case C-321/08) over its failure to communicate measures taken to implement...
