13/10/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 9 October, the EU Council of Ministers adopted, without debate, a decision setting out the broad thrust of the position the EU will adopt in the Commission for the Conservation of Southern Bluefin Tuna (CCSBT). Within this regional fisheries organisation, the EU will campaign for stringent conservation and management measures for southern bluefin tuna (see EUROPE 9976 on the text of the proposal).
