Council formally rejects Amendment 138

Brussels, 13/10/2009 (Agence Europe) - The EU Council of Ministers formally rejected without debate at the meeting of EU transport, telecoms and energy ministers, in Luxembourg on Friday 9 October, the amendments tabled by the European Parliament in the telecoms package adopted in second reading. This means that the conciliation procedure will now open between the Council and the EP. The European Parliament has already appointed a negotiating team (see EUROPE 9989). Close sources suggest...
