Brussels, 29/09/2009 (Agence Europe) - European insurers say that reducing the protection of block exemption in the sector could damage the quality of the service provided. The European Insurance and Re-insurance Federation (CEA) is particularly critical of the proposal, made by the Commission in March, to withdraw the block exemption from two cooperative operations: standardising conditions in insurance contracts and normalising the technical details of security arrangements.
