22/09/2009 (Agence Europe) - As expected, the large scale Visa Information System (VIS), which contains information on visa applicants, “will not be operational” as initially planned for 21 December. The announcement was made on Monday 21 September by the Swedish minister for immigration, Tobias Billström. The Friends of VIS group will now take over the dossier in an attempt to draw up a new timetable. (B.C./transl.rh)
