22/09/2009 (Agence Europe) - Joe Borg, European Commissioner for Fisheries, made the opening speech for the Annual Science Conference of the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES). Germany is hosting this year's event, which runs until 25 September and gathers together some of the world's most eminent marine scientists. In his speech, Mr Borg focused on the impact of CFP reform on the role played by science in shaping policy.
