Presidency doesn't intend to arrange special Council meeting on milk crisis

Brussels, 22/09/2009 (Agence Europe) - During the Special Agriculture Committee (SAC) on Monday 21 September, France and other EU member states called for a special meeting to be held between European agriculture ministers to examine the crisis affecting milk producers. The Swedish president of the Council of Ministers of the EU, supported by the European Commission and certain countries, however, said that there was basically no reason for holding such a meeting.
