Brussels, 22/09/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 23 September, the winners of the first EU Ecolabel Communication Award will be announced.
At a ceremony in Brussels, the European Commission will present the awards recognising outstanding achievement in increasing public awareness of the EU's logo indicating environmentally-friendly products and services.
The award will, for the first time, reward companies that have carried out a remarkable campaign to bring to the public's notice the little twelve-star flower that is now carried by nearly 20,000 products and services that meet the very strict environmental criteria established by the European legislation according to product and service category.
