22/09/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 21 September, at the request of Germany, EU immigration ministers discussed European asylum legislation, and, in particular, two proposals the European Commission intends to bring forward on 20 October (see EUROPE 9980). German Home Affairs Minister Wolfgang Schäuble said the EU had to look at how the mechanisms in place were working before moving on.
